Edgar J. Piper, 94, of N1913 Maple Heights Beach, Chilton, died Wednesday at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton.
He was born Dec. 13, 1888, in the Town of Chilton, a son of the late John and Dora Piper. He and Meta Maas were married in Chilton. She died in 1953. Mr. Piper worked for the Carnation Co. and worked as a fieldman for the Chilton Canning Co. and then worked at Aluminum Specialty Co., Chilton, until retiring in 1950.
He was a member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ, Chilton, the Chilton Masonic Lodge and the Calumet County Riding Club.
Surviving are one son, Lester W., Milwaukee; one grandson, and one great grandson.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Wieting Funeral Home, Chilton, with the Rev. Quentin Moeschber-ger, pastor of Ebenezer UCC, officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Saturday and until the time of service on Sunday. Masonic Lodge services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
