Ruby M. Kreischer, 87, of Convoy, died at 5:07 p.m. Sunday, October 6, 2002, at Convoy Care Center.
She was born March 25, 1915, in Richmond, Ky., the daughter of the late Ollie and Bessie (Hollingsworth) Adams. On July 31, 1936, she married Wilbur M. "Mike" Kreischer, who died April 5, 1981.
Mrs. Kreischer worked as a homemaker and for 15 years as a cook for Crestview North Elementary School. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ near Convoy and a member of the Ladies Guild of the church. She also belonged to the Convoy Fox Hunters Club, was a member of the former Convoy Fire Department Ladies EMS Auxiliary, was given the 1992 Convoy Days Citizen's Award.
Survivors include four sons, William D. Kreischer, Philip (Carol) Kreischer, Dennis (Debbie) Kreischer and Stephen Kreischer, all of Convoy; two daughters, Patricia (Dale) Perrott of Van Wert and Jane (Fred) Germann of Convoy; a sister, Helen (Lewis) Fralick of Fort Wayne, Ind.; 18 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, John and Paul Wayne Kreischer; a brother, Clarence Adams; two sisters, Bertha Mefferd and Mertie Taylor; and a grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Gearhart, Mack & Jurczyk Funeral Home in Convoy, the Rev. Ronald Fruth officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery near Middle Point.
Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Convoy Fire Department.
