My "Popo" Ed was a wonderful grandfather! I miss him so much, he was the first real death in our family that I experienced. He suffered a massive heart attack, they were able to keep him alive long enough for my dad, Jack, to make the journey to Salem, Oregon from Zillah, Washington where he lived. Pop hung on until dad arrived and soon passed. Popo was a twin, his twin was about a foot taller than he was! Popo's wife Mammie (my grandmother)passed away when my father was 2 1/2 years old after she gave birth to my dad's sister. She was only 22 years old. I find comfort knowing Popo and my dad are reunited with her.
