He united in marriage with Nancy Elizabeth White of Frazier, MO, February 20, 1869. To them were born five girls and five boys. Five children preceded him in death. He came to Jefferson Co., KS, 34 years ago, and by his industry and honest effort to build and maintain a home won to himself many warm friends.
He was a good companion and father; no sacrifice was too great for him to make for the welfare of his family. It is said of Mr. Cobb that he never turned a hungry person from his door.
