He was united in marriage with Miss Arminda Byrn, February 21, 1889, who preceded him in death February 11, 1930.

To this union three sons were born, all of whom survive, Vernie of Downing, Mo., Bryan of Greentop, and Dale of LaPlata, Mo. He is also survived by five grand children, and two brothers, J. N. Arnold of Lanagan, Mo., and G. W. Arnold of Fristoe, Mo.

After moving to Greentop, Mr. Arnold united with the Christian church, Mrs. Arnold having been a member of the Coffey church, here under the ministry of Bro. McClees, Bro. Arnold was converted, and lived a consisted Christian life. He was soon elected as deacon and served faithfully in that capacity as long as health would permit. He was also a highly respected member of the Odd Fellows and Masonic lodges.

Mr. Arnold was a successful farmer, a good citizen, a true and faithful husband and father, a trustworthy friend, a Christian gentleman. He will be greatly missed from the church, the home and the community. But our loss is his eternal gain.
