Anna Maggie (Gebhard) Haenggi departed this life on July 11, l992, at Burgin Manor in Olney IL. She was born July 16, 1904, in Spencer County, IN, the youngest child of Andreas and Anna (Braun) Gebhard. She was the last to leave this life from her family of seven: sisters were Louisa Wilhelmine Talbott, Kunigunde Uhde, Katharina Beckort, and Amelia Gebhard; brothers were identical twins John Conrad and William Michael Gebhard.

Anna was united in marriage on September 5, 1923, to Louis Joseph Haenggi in Olney. They lived all their married life on a farm southeast of Olney. To their union were born six children, of which five survive: Velma Anna Williams of Calhoun, Mary Amelia Thompson of Newton, Harold Louis, Sr., of Olney, Barbara Jean Gullick of Marissa, and Kathryn Lou Robinett of Decatur. Preceding Anna in death were her husband Louis on October 27, 1972, and their infant son Herman on November 7, 1927.

Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. She was a member of the Calhoun United Methodist Church.

Service was at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home, July 14, l992.
Officiating were Rev. Loretta Cummins and Rev. Ivan Horn.
