Friday, October 3, 1930. Mrs. Margaret Dwyer, wife of Phillip Dwyer, died at her home on West street, September 24th, age 82, after a long illness. She is survived by her husband, Phillip Dwyer, and ten children: Charles and Henry Dwyer of Huntington, Mrs. Israel Lafayette, Mrs. John Brewster and William Dwyer of Rutland, Nelson Dwyer of Brandon, Leon Dwyer of Leicester, James Dwyer and Mrs. Andrew Ballock of Starksboro, and Joseph Dwyer of Bristol. The funeral services were held at the St. Ambrose church in Bristol Saturday at 9:30 a. m. Sept. 27. The officiating clergyman were the Rev. C. L. Pontbriand of Lyndonville, Vt., assisted by the Rev. Geo. L'Ecuyer of Vergennes and Rev. J. A. Dame of Bristol.
All of her children were presents at her funeral. Those from out of town were Leon Pontbriand and wife of Highgate, Vt., Mrs. Lewis Pontbriand of Swanton, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dwyer of Stockbridge, Mrs. Dorothy Meyers and Conrad Dwyer of Hartford, Conn., Mrs. Patsy Kanaley and Mrs. Elizabeth Ketchum of Brandon, Mrs. Farrell, and daughter, Mary, Miss Nellie Cannon of Burlington, Mr. and Mrs. William Farrell, Mrs. Emma Pierce, Mr. James Myette, Mr. and Mrs. Patsy Garofono, Oakly Shambrau, Mr. and Mrs. Hazen Shambrau, Mrs. Robert Tuggy of Rutland, Miss Ilene Dwyer and Miss Emma Dwyer of Montpelier, Perm Dwyer of Waterloo, Irene Dwyer of Leicester, Phillip and Madeline Lawrence of Vergennes, Mr. and Mrs. Sewel Hallock, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hallock, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Stokes of Starksboro.
