MOULTON — Funeral for Anna Pearl Preuit, 79, of Moulton will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Elliott Funeral Home with Ray McWhorter and Kenneth Johnson officiating.

Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Preuit died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, at National Health Care in Moulton. She was born Oct. 31, 1923, in Moulton to Silas McKinley Black and Irene Burks Black. She was a homemaker and a charter member of the Radiance Garden Club. Mrs. Preuit was a scout leader for the Girls and Boy Scouts and a member of Aldridge Grove Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was the widow of Ward Cleburne Preuit, the mother of the late Ward Cleburne Preuit Jr. and the sister of the late Roy McKinley Black.

Survivors include one son, John McKinley Preuit of Decatur; one daughter, Anita Kay Hood of Moulton; one brother, Richard Taylor Black of Jefferson, Ga.; two sisters, Magdalen Powell and Martha Puckett, both of Decatur; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bryan R. Hood, Derek Wallace, Zeke Wallace, Paul Johnston, Wayne Adair and Willie R. Hood.
