BODY FOUND FLOATING IN BASS LAKE
Believed to be that of Dr. I. E. Anderson, 46, Milwaukee, Dentist who disappeared June 13, 1942, while on a fishing trip at Spread Eagle, Wis.
A body was recovered this morning from Bass Lake, of the Spread Eagle Chain of Lakes. The condition of the body made immediate identification impossible, but Arthur Cheney, friend, identified the coat as one he had seen Anderson wearing.
The family has been spending a few days at the Anderson Cottage when he disappeared. His body was found about 1500 feet from the point where his fishing boat was found.
The body, floating in shallow water off shore, was discovered shortly after 11 a.m. by a young fisher boy.
Funeral services for Dr. Ivar E. Anderson were held at the Evangelical Mission Church. Burial was in the family lot in Norway Cemetery.
