Howard Eugene Jenkins, 76, of the 3700 block of Essex Circle, a self-employed contractor, died February 21, 1994, in his home.

Mr. Jenkins was born in Firebrick, Ohio. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post (NU)4809.

Survivors include his wife, Vina Jenkins; three daughters, Judith R. Young of Virginia Beach and Shirley D. Zongolowicz and Elizabeth J. Davis, both of Norfolk; one son, Robert Howard Jenkins of Fairfax, Va.; three sisters, Ceclia Dunham of Columbus, Ohio, Naomi Milan of Dayton, Ohio, and Wilma Allen of Tennessee; one brother, Donald Jenkins of Dayton, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Jess Jackson. The family will receive friends at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
