OBITUARY
Pleasant View – Our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Hazel Dean Colton Barfuss, returned to her Heavenly Father on December 7, 2009. She was born March 1, 1931 in Malad, Idaho to Joseph J. and Hazel Gertrude Lundy Colton.

She married her sweetheart Gene Barfuss on Valentines Day 1949 in Malad, Idaho; their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden Temple.

Hazel had a green thumb; she especially enjoyed gardening and nurturing plants and flowers. She liked to crochet and knit. She enjoyed camping with her family and spent many happy days traveling with her husband Gene. She loved her family. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy.

She is survived by her husband Gene; children Greg (Jolene) Barfuss of Roy, Dwight "Dee" (Jolene) Barfuss of Ogden, Wes (Judy) Barfuss of Farr West, Peggy Jo (Gary) Kiesel of Clinton and Jeff (Cristen) Barfuss of Roy; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and two brothers, LaVern Colton and Stanley Colton both of Idaho.

She was preceded in death by a grandson; her parents and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 11, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pleasant View 4th Ward Chapel, 3035 No. 1325 West. Friends may call on Thursday, December 10th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary of Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd. and Friday at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment will be at the Ben Lomond Cemetery.
