Ewen Monroe Bolinger, 80, of Huntsville, died January 19, 1998, at the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born November 12, 1917, at Wharton, the son of James Marion and Josephine "Josie" Jones Bolinger. He was a farmer and a Baptist. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Jewel Walden and Mrs. Gladys Dailey.

Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Cloe Dotson Bolinger of the home whom he married on December 17, 1936; two sons, and daughters-in-law, Dwain and Pat Bolinger of Huntsville, and Delbert and Paulette Bolinger of Elkins; one daughter and son-in-law, Cora Lea and Dean McCoy of Huntsville; fourteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, in the Chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with the Rev. Butch Bolinger officiating. Burial was in the Wharton Creek Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be: Randy Bolinger, Ryan Bolinger, Brett Winkle, Danny Johnson, Jeff Johnson and Chad Bishop. Honorary pallbearers will be: Bob Ledbetter, Jerry Ledbetter, James Dailey, Jimmie Walden and John Tyson.
