Chester Baugher, age 85 of Centerville, Iowa died Saturday, January 6, 2007 at the Mercy Medical Center, Centerville.

Chester arrived on this earth in 1921, the son of William and Lora(Mickels)Baugher at the Sunshine Coal Camp just west of Centerville, Iowa by midwife. He married Mary Manganello September 25, 1952 in Sewal, Iowa. Chester worked as a machinist and welder for Fuller Manufacturing in Centerville and Lenox in Marshalltown, Iowa. He loved his flower gardens and enjoyed building birdhouses in his woodshop. Chester was a member of the Church Of The Nazarene in Centerville.

Chester is survived by his wife Mary of Centerville; three girls, Rosemary Melsa of Centerville, Loraetta Tolles and her husband Bill of Rosehill, Iowa, Joann Cravens of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two sons, John Baugher of Centerville, and Mark Baugher and his wife Stacy of Centerville; twelve grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Chester was preceded in death by two daughters; Sally Baugher and Bonnie Buban; and his brothers and sisters.

Funeral services wil be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home with Pastor Walter King officiating; Interment will follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati. A visitation will be held all day Monday at the funeral home with the family present from 6-8 PM. A memorial has been established to the family and may be mailed to or left at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
