ESTELLA A. WAGNER CRABTREE, daughter of William Arthur and Ada Pearcy Marshall Wagner was born June 21, 1915, in Stoutland, Missouri and departed this life Thursday, November 26, 2009, at the age of ninety four.

On December 18, 1937, she was united in married with Donald Crabtree and to this union four daughters and one son was born.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald and her son William, two brothers, Johnny and Billy Wagner, and one great grandson, Tommy Crandon.

Estella is survived by four daughters, LaDon Brooks, LaDora Crabtree and Georgia Vaughn, all of Stoutland, Dianna Hendrix of Buckhorn; one daughter-in-law, Carla Crabtree of Stoutland; four sisters, Minnie Bell Ogle and Ruth Jones of Stoutland, Ethel Weaver and Eva Stone of Lebanon; eleven grandchildren, Connie, Greg, Kelly, Nichole, Beth, Erin, Bradley, Kent, Monica, Troy and Stacey; twenty great-grandchildren, Erica, Jacqualyn, Briana, Katrina, Lacey, Candice, Manni, Ozzi, Bailey, Carli, William, Justin, Conner, Rachelle, Clarissa, Dylan, Tasha, Keisha, Cody, and Nathaniel; seven great-great grandchildren, Dakota, Landon, Gracie, Zak, Gabrielle, Justin and Gabrielle; special nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends,

Estella was baptized November 18, 1928 at the Decker Ford of the Gasconade River. She was a member of the Stoutland Christian Church. Estella enjoyed church. Through the years she taught all ages of Sunday school from beginners to seniors.

Estella was a hard working person. Her father died when she was fifteen, so she and Johnny worked as well as Ada to support the family. She had numerous jobs. Her first job was as a farmhand. Estella also worked at Hazelgreen summer resort, at Rob McShane's store, the Harvest House restaurant, the PX in Ft. Leonard Wood, the hospital in Ft. Leonard Wood and the boat factory in Richland.

Estella, "Nanny" to most, was known for her hospitality. "Crabtree Corner" hosted many a gathering through the years. She loved visiting with family, friends and neighbors. If someone needed a bit of Stoutland family history recalled, Estella was the person to see.

She was a charter member of the Stoutland Senior Center. She and Donald loved the Center and donated the land where it now stands.

She loved gardening and flowers and could make just about anything grow. Her wit and wisdom will be greatly missed. Whether known as nanny, granny, mother, sister, cousin, aunt or friend.

Estella was a vibrant woman with a loving and giving heart.
