William J. Bender of Patton, died Friday in Mercy hospital at Pittsburgh. Mr. Bender was born June 21, 1880 in Clearfield twp., a son of John and Mary Ann (Flick) Bender. Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Dishart and six children: William F. and Mrs. Leona Holtz of Carrolltown, Mrs. Milton Hahn of Allison Park, Mrs. Owen Stewart of Pittsburgh, Clair M. of Patton and Mrs. Marie Peters of Groton, Conn. 1 brother and 1 sister: Isadore B. of Gallitzin and Mrs. Myrtle Stoltz of Akron O. Mr. Bender was a retired dairyman. He was a member of St. Mary's catholic church Patton. Services were held today.
