Isaac Adams, 75, retired Lawrence County farmer who has lived in Columbus, OH the past 15 years, died Wednesday at his home there. He had been in failing health for several months and had been seriously ill since suffering a stroke a week ago. Short services were conducted in Benfield Avenue Church of God in Columbus Thursday afternoon and the body will be brought to the Curtright Funeral Home in Louisa Thursday night. Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2 from the Louisa First Methodist church with Rev. S. B. Ball, Rev. E. W. Elrod and Rev. J. C. Hager officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from 1 until the time of the funeral. Interment will be made in Pinehill Cemetery here. A son of the late James and Charlotte Berry Adams, Mr. Adams was born at Adams, this county, in 1865. He operated a farm there until his retirement 15 years ago, and was one of the county's most substantial citizens. He had been a member of the Methodist Church for about 25 years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nancy Prince Adams to whom he was married 56 years ago; 2 daughters, Mrs. W. H. C. Thompson of Sinking Springs, OH and Mrs. Raymond McKinster of Columbus, OH and 5 sons, James M. Adams, Louisa grocer, Dave Adams of Louisa route 1, Stanley and Lonnie Adams, both of Columbus, OH and Morton Adams of Ashland, KY; one half sister, Mrs. Lindsey Thompson of Adams, and a brother, Monroe Adams of Adams, KY.
