Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, December 7, 2009, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Drusilla Louise Angelle Dugas, 75, who passed away on Friday, December 4, 2009 at her residence.

Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia.

Fr. Michael Delcambre, Pastor of St. Joseph Church, will conduct the services. Keith Harelson and Tom Breaux will read the scriptures. Serving as gift bearers will be Heather Baldwin, Leah Cook and Katherine Harelson.

Mrs. Dugas retired from Lafayette General Hospital after 28 years as a payroll clerk. She was dedicated to the Carmelites all her life. She worked frequently with the sisters at the Carmelite Monastery with great dedication and love. She belonged to the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites, Community of Mary Mother of Grace. She was clothe in 1999 and made her final promise in 2004. Her dedication went to her church where she belonged to the Acadian Memorial Choir (French) and both Saturday and Sunday Choirs at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Cecilia.

Survivors include her daughters, Elizabeth D. Quebedeaux and her husband, Charlie of Arnaudville, Tracy Breaux and her husband, Tom of Cypress Island and Hester M. Dugas and her partner, Kim Manuel of Lafayette; her sons-in-law, Keith Harelson of Baton Rouge and Michael Green of Breaux Bridge; her brother, Warner J. Angelle and his wife, Earline of Jennings; her sisters, Rochelle A. Boudreaux and her special friend, Carrol Thomassee, and Rosianne A. Durand and her husband, Edward, all of St. Martinville; her grandchildren, Heather Q. Baldwin, Dustin C. Quebedeaux, Brandon G. Robin, Leah Cook, Katherine D. Harelson, Benjamin T. Breaux and Brian J. Breaux; and her great-grandchildren, Matthew J. Baldwin, Emily Baldwin and Alexander A. Cook.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester "Poncho" Dugas; her parents, Christopher J. and Eula Guidry Angelle; her daughters, Angela D. Harelson and Connie D. Green and her granddaughter, Hope E. Quebedeaux.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Sunday and continue 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Monday.

A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Quebedeaux, Brandon Robin, Benjamin Breaux, Brian Breaux, Kenneth Boudreaux and Joel Angelle.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Louisiana Oncology, Dr. Rainey, Felicia, and Staff, Dr. Jaime Cordova and staff & Dr. Hector Robles.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions in Drusilla Dugas's name be made to Hospice of Acadiana, Inc., 2600 Johnston St. Ste 200, Lafayette, La. 70503 or to the Carmelite Monastery, 1250 Carmel Dr., Lafayette, La. 70501.
