Cecilia – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm, on Friday, May 1, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Rochelle A. Boudreaux Thomassee, 78, who passed away on Monday, April 27, 2015.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm on Thursday, and continue on Friday at 8:00 am until 1:45 pm, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Thursday by Deacon Ken Soignier.

Rev. Michael Delcambre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Blair Bernard and Ross Louvierre. Gift Bearers will be her grandchildren. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia.

Mrs. Thomassee graduated from Cecilia High School in 1954 as Salutatorian of her class. While in high school, she played the Tuba in the band and also enjoyed playing the piano. She was a substitute teacher for many years and was a former member of the American Legion Post 289 – Women’s Auxiliary, in Parks.

Rochelle was always meticulous about her appearance and how she was dressed. She was quick-witted, her smile contagious, and her grace and charm was loved by all.

Rochelle was a loving wife, mother, step-mother, and grandmother, who always put her family first, above all else.
She enjoyed cooking, going dancing, and caring for her family, whom she loved unconditionally.

She is survived by her husband, Carrol Antoine Thomassee; five sons, Cornel Boudreaux and wife, Bonnie, Dale Boudreaux and wife, Jackie, Kenneth "Kenny" Boudreaux and wife, Lisa, Daryl Boudreaux and wife, Charlie, and Robert Boudreaux and wife, Charlene; her daughter, Charlene "Tookie" Louvierre and husband, Rodney; two step daughters, Donna Thomassee Duplechein and husband, Barron, and Brenda Thomassee; her brother, Warner Angelle and wife, Earline; 14 grandchildren, Nicole Guidry, Miles Boudreaux, Lynsey Peltier, Blair Bernard, Jennifer Boudreaux, Christopher Boudreaux, Colby Louvierre, Ross Louvierre, Nicholas Boudreaux, Lauren Boudreaux, Laina Boudreaux, Kayla Hebert, Ryan Boudreaux, and Dillon Boudreaux; 4 great grandchildren, Hayleigh Louvierre, Aidan Hebert, Bella Clair Bernard, and Noah James Peltier; 2 step grandchildren, Keel Duplechein and fiancée Ashley Dowell and Tanya Duplechein and fiancé Lynn Riley; and 8 step great grandchildren, Dawn, Aidan, Ethan, Tucker, Makayla, and Abby Duplechein, and Trinity and Mason Sawyer.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Christopher and Eula Guidry Angelle; her first husband, Voorhies Beaudreaux; two sisters, Druscilla Dugas and Annie Durand; and a grandchild, Cody Boudreaux.

Pallbearers will be her five sons, Cornel, Dale, Kenny, Daryl, and Robert Boudreaux, and son-in-law, Rodney Louvierre. Honorary pallbearers will be her brother, Warner Angelle and her grandchildren.
