Note: A portion of this cemetery was originally part of the Sneed Plantation. It was used for the slave burials. At some point afterwards more land was purchased for burials. The cemetery was associated with a church once located at Stassney and Congress. Some people continued to use the name "Sneed Cemetery" as the location of burial. - Genoseeker

Note: According to his death certificate, he was buried in Sneed Cemetery. However, the transcription records for this cemetery show that he is buried in this cemetery with many of his family. There are many Sneed burials in this cemetery, including his sister, Alice Overton Sneed.
