Mrs. Allie Carter, 94, of Rt. 5, Huntsville, died June 3, 1984 in a Fayetteville nursing home. She was born May 17, 1890 at Loy, the daughter of Steven T. and Carolina Lane Russell. She was a member of the Church of Christ and was preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas Carter on Feb. 8, 1965.

Survivors include two sons, Russell Carter of Fayetteville and W.T. Carter of Huntsville; one daughter, Mrs. Alpha Barry of Little Rock and 19 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 6, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with C.J. Jackson, minister, officiating. Burial was in the Venus Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Claud Baxter, Boyd Lyman, Buster Austin, Aaron Russell, W.J. Burnett, and Vester Bowman.
