Funeral services for William Henry Appling Jr., 56, of 2472 Old Hapeville Road SW, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Dillon's chapel. The Rev. Homer L. Folsom will officiate and burial will be in Forrest Hills Cemetery.
Mr. Appling, a native of Atlanta, died Tuesday at his home. He was a Baptist and an employe of Hubert and Hubert Trucking Co.
Survivors include his wife, the former Mary Alice Ferrell; a son, H. B. Appling, Van Nuys, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. C. J. Little, Mrs. B. R. Odom, Mrs. J. L. Oglesby and Mrs. J. R. Jones, all of Atlanta; five sisters, Mrs. W. J. Evans, Atlanta, and Mrs. H. P. Browning, Mrs. Lucille Browning, Mrs. J. E. Houk and Mrs. Dexter Overton, all of Knoxville, Tenn., and three brothers, Otis, George and Walter Appling, all of Knoxville.
