She is preceded in death by her parents William and Mary Alice Appling, brother, Buddy Appling and sisters Betty Baird and Patsy Ogelsby.
She leaves behind her husband of 59 years John Roy Jones. She was a devoted mother to daughters Ginger (Lindsey) Peacock and Shelley (Ray) Hardy of Senoia. Nana to grandchildren Brad Sheets, Jennifer Walker, Stephen Lowry, Victoria Smith and Laura Howard. She loved her great-grandchildren Zoei, Ryan, Hayden, Sophie, Brantley, Delilah and Lillian as well as her sister Mary Little.
Sandra's life was her testimony. Through all her struggles, you would still find her in church praising the Lord! When not at church, she was telling those around her about the merciful and loving God that saved her on her 29th birthday. She was a blessing to those she met. Perseverance and grit were words that are synonymous with her name. She thanked the Lord for her struggles and blessings alike. Though she was never rich by this world's standards, her riches awaited her in Heaven where the Lord prepared her a place the day her name was written in the Lambs Book of Life!
Interment will follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens.
