SHENANDOAH - Miss Mamie Lloyd Grubbs of 500 Shenandoah Avenue, Shenandoah died at Lewis-Gale Hospital at Roanoke Friday.
Miss Grubbs had been ill several weeks. She was born in Page County and was a daughter of the late John William and Hettie Myers Dadisman Grubbs.
She worked at Shenandoah's telephone company for a number of years and was a member of Fields United Methodist Church. She was a former worthy matron of Milnes Chapter 3.
Surviving are three brothers, Earl L. and Leonard C. Grubbs, both of Roanoke, and Dr. Ray H. Grubbs of Christiansburg, and two sisters, Mrs. J. Grant Reid of Roanoke and Mrs. Leone G. Huffman of Shenandoah.
The funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday at the Warren G. Kyger Funeral Home at Shenandoah by the Rev. Truman R. Tremble. Burial will be in the Fields United Methodist Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends 7 — 8 p.ra. Sunday at the funeral home and at the Grubbs home anytime.
