Morgan McQueary, my second great grandfather, was born 12 Nov 1795 near the Reddies River, Wilkes County, NC. (This birthdate based on his tombstone death of October 25, 1854, less 58 years, 11 months and 13 days). He died 25 Oct 1854 in Brown, Hancock, IN, and is buried in Glencove Cemetery, Knightstown, Henry County, IN. He married Mary (Polly) Case 18 Jun 1816 in Wilkes, NC. By 1820 he was in West River, Randolph, IN; by 1830 in Wayne, IN; 1834 in Hancock County, IN; and the 1850 census finds him in Center, Rush, IN. During the course of his life he was a farmer and became an Elder in the Baptist Church. He and Polly were parents to seven known children: William Wright Martin McQueary (1816-1868), [William Wright Martin McQueary is how his name is handwritten by the will maker, in Mary Polly Case's will. Hannah Case McQueary (1822-1891), Lucy McQueary – my great grandmother (1828-1908), Leander McQueary (1832-1875), Lovina M McQueary (1834-1860, Ellen McQueary (1837-1860) and Wilson T McQueary (1841-1915).
