Mrs. Nellie Adkins Lohr, 71, lifelong resident of Monticello died February 4 in the home of her son, Ernest, in Decatur, where she was visiting. Funeral services were held from the Mackey Funeral Home with burial made in Monticello cemetery.
Mrs. Lohr was born Sept 26, 1889 in Monticello the d/o Frank and Miriam Root Adkins. She was married to Ernest E. Lohr on June 20, 1920. He preceded her in death in 1952. She leaves two sons: Ernest and Frank, both of Decatur; a brother, Jesse, Albuquerque NM; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
She was a member of the Monticello Methodist Church and the Monticello Chapter, Order of Eastern Star and the White Shrine of Champaign.
