Ellison was born April 17, 1917, in Giltner, Neb. He married Arlene Warner on July 1, 1939, in Greeley.
Ellison worked as an assistant signal supervisor for the Union Pacific Railroad for 47 years.
He is survived by his wife; three daughters, June Gibson, Colorado Springs, Judy Greenwood, Federal Heights, and Terri Oldham, Broomfield; eight sisters, Beth Stanton, Jeanne Coffey, Harriet Gerstenberger and Katheryn Adcams, all of Denver, Patricia Pfalzgraff, Arizona, Shirley Philson, California, Margaret Frochner, Kansas, and Frances Tuttle, Texas; three brothers, Thomas, Steve and Roger, all of Denver; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
