Jefferson City Post Tribune, Tuesday, April 17, 1956, Jefferson City, Mo.

An 83 year old resident of the Iberia community, Randolph Adam Barnhart, died Saturday night at the home of a son, Mark Barnhart, near Iberia. Mr. Barnhart was born May 22, 1872, in Miller County, the son of James and Mary Barnhart. He was married in 1893 to Miss Rosa Cross, who survives.

Also surviving are seven sons, James Louis and William Barnhart, both of Concord, Calif., Henry Elmer Barnhart, Addleville, Ill., Samuel Everett Barnhart, Pacifica, Mo., John Barnhart, Greenville, Ill., Mark and Andrew Barnhart, both of Iberia; one daughter, Mrs. Ollie Barnhart, Sulphur Springs, Mo.; four sisters, Mrs. Adali Rhoades, Granite City, Ill., Mrs. Julia Johnson and Mrs. Easter Shackelford, both of Tuscumbia, and Mrs. Tennie Jenkins, Shattuck, Okla., one brother, Mark Barnhart, Plato, Mo.; 44 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Barnhart had been in ill health for several months.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Mount Zion Church near Tuscumbia with the Rev. John Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
