A soldier of the Revolution, said to have been a teamster at 16, and/ or in Washington's Guard. After his service, he walked all the way home to CT. Looking for proof of this service, as it needs to be better documented for the DAR/SAR. It is thought he may have used an alias because of his age. His service in the War of 1812 is documented. Came to VT with his widowed mother. Brother Ephraim settled in Pownal for a while, but moved on to NY.
