MOULTON -- Funeral for Naomi Elizabeth "Myrtle" Hurst, 104, of Hatton will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home with the Rev. Fred Anderton and the Rev. Sam Wallace officiating.

Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hurst died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born May 8, 1896, in Lawrence County to Thomas Anderton and Belle Wallace Anderton. She was a homemaker and the widow after 72 years of marriage of Wilburn A. Hurst.

Survivors include one son, Malcom D. Hurst of Hatton; two daughters, Dorothy Hurst Kimbrough of Trinity and Willodean Hurst of Hazel Green; one sister, Ila Summers of Town Creek; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be the Rev. Phillip Kimbrough, Donny Kimbrough, Steve Jeffreys, Larry Hurst, Josh Hurst, Jason Kimbrough, Mike Smith and Kevin Hester.
