Cassius M. Aikens, son of Robert James and Ellen Aikens, was born in Henry county, Illinois, May 7, 1862, and came with his parents to Kansas in March 1879, to White City, where he lived the remainder of his life. Nineteen years ago he was converted and united with the Congregational church. He was united in marriage with Miss Josephine Robbins December 31, 1891. To them was born three children, one of whom died in its infancy.
He departed this life Saturday, December 8, 1900, at 8:30 o'clock a.m. contented and trusting in Jesus, with the hope of reaching a better home on high. Age. 37 years, 7 years months and 1 day.

Your wife Josephine Robbins was the mother of your children Clarence Earl Aikins James Russell Aikins & Nettie Leona Wall. After you died,Josiw [sic] was a young woman and she married Jacob A. Patterson & had another daughter, May Patterson Shump.
