Ossie Edwards Horton, 88, of Hillsville, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007, at her home. She was the widow of C. Swanson Horton. She was born to Larkin L. and Mary E. Vass Edwards. Survivors include her daughter, Mary A. Horton of Kernersville, NC; a son & daughter-in-law, Freddie & Marie Horton of Hillsville; a brother & sister-in-law, Larkin G. & Mary Edwards of Baltimore, MD; a sister &brother-in-law, Violet & Chester Barr of Williamsburg; seven grandchildren & spouses; four-great grandchildren & spouses; and four great-great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Vaughan Guynn McGrady Funeral Home with the Rev. Wendell Horton officiating. Burial will follow in Webb-Skyview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
