Mother of city resident dies

Funeral services for Oval M. Clevenger, 69, of route 1, Monroeville, mother of Doyle R. Clevenger, of Decatur, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in Marquart funeral home, Monroeville. Mrs. Clevenger died Monday evening in St. Joseph’s hospital, Fort Wayne.

She was a native of Van Wert county, Ohio, and lived in the Monroeville area most of her life.

She was born on August 5, 1904, the daughter of Isaiah and Anna Walter-Ackerman.

Surviving are her husband, Ralph E.; four sons, Doyle R. of Decatur; Glen E., Woodburn; and Jack and Daniel, both of Monroeville; three daughters, Mrs. Anna Geraradot, Mrs. Mary H. Cox and Mrs. Diana Hartman, all of Monroeville; a brother, Harold Ackerman, Convoy, O.; and a sister, Mrs. Emma Becker, Convoy.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Burial will be in the Monroeville Memorial cemetery.
