Daniel L. "Dan" Clevenger, 71 years old of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Parkview Regional Medical Center located in Fort Wayne.
He was born on Saturday, July 3, 1943 in Monroeville, Indiana the son of the late Ralph E. Clevenger and the late Oval (Ackerman) Clevenger.
Dan had retired from Phelps Dodge Corp. in 2005 and prior to that he had worked at Fruehauf Corp. for over 20 years.
He enjoyed gardening and hunting.
Surviving are his daughter, Amy L. (Michael) Musselman II of Monroeville; son, Jason D. Clevenger of Fort Wayne; sister, Mary H. Cox of Monroeville; sister, Diana Hartman of Monroeville; and six grandchildren, Brittany; Nikki; Katlyn; Eric; Brandon; & Aaron.
Preceding Dan in death were two children, Beth Ann & one in infancy; four brothers, Marlin; Doyle; Glen; & Jack Clevenger and one sister, Anna Gerardot.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2014 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville. Interment will follow in the Monroeville Memorial Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. & 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, July 11 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville.
Preferred memorials are to Monroeville EMS or American Cancer Society.
