"RICHARD LAMEY DIES"

"Richard Lamey, 52, resident of New Orleans for many years, born April 12, 1884, died at 12:30 o'clock this afternoon at his home, 949 Fayard Street, Biloxi, following (an) illness of several months. He operated a bakery and grocery on Back Bay for a number of years and was a member of an old and well known Biloxi family. He was a member of the Fourth Ward Regulars and formerly belonged to other organizations including the Redmen. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Richard Lamey; two daughters, Louise and Melanie; three sisters, Mrs. Joe Seymour, Mrs. Conrad Nesossis, (Miss) Clara Wells; and two brothers, Florian and Loren. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 o'clock from the residence and church."

"The funeral of Richard Lamey, who died Saturday at his home, 949 Fayard Street, was held yesterday from the home and at the Epworth Methodist Church by Rev. Slay, assisted by Rev. Daniels, Wesson, Miss. There were many friends and relatives present and a large number of floral offerings were received. Pallbearers were Tony, Leland, Floyd Creel, Howard Lamey, James Seymour and Paul Balius. He is served by his wife, two daughters, Misses Louise and Melanie Lamey; two brothers, Lorian(sic), North Biloxi, and Florian, Biloxi; and three sisters, Miss Clara Wells, Mrs. Conrad Nesossis and Mrs. Jos. Seymour, Biloxi, and other relatives. Mr. Lamey was in business on Back Bay for many years."
