Age: 74 years, 3 months, 23 days. "Funeral services were held from the United Congregational church on Monday afternoon for a pioneer matron...(illegible)...including Rev Pfeiff, William Wenz, Dan Frieske and Albert Kirstein. Mrs Pfeiff was accompanist and organist. Pallbearers were David Birge, Harry Wolsborn, Ed Delzer, Reuben Janke, Ed Salo and Reuben Els. Mrs Heimbigner was born in Parkston, South Dakota, July 26, 1886, and came as a small girl with her parents, Mr and Mrs Christ Yanke, early settlers. Following the death of her husband, Henry Beck, she remarried, to John Heimbigner, who also preceded her in death. Although her eyesight troubled her in later years, she was patient and assisted many local people with babysitting duties, and for several years was employed by the Win Self family in this duty. She is survived by two sons, William and Albert, both of Odessa; two daughters, Mrs Lydia Pfeifer, Wilson Creek, and Mrs Alvina Fix, of Portland; one sister, Mrs John Haase, Odessa; six grandchildren and one great grandchild."
