Friends of Mrs. Kittie Bradbury who lived here for about eight months in 1938 and 1939, have learned of her death in Washington, D. C., February 21. Mr. Bradbury, mother of Hallett Abend, New York Times Chief correspondent for China, came here from Shanghai, where she was visiting with her son, and later went to Seattle to be with her son during a leave of absence, part of which he was spending there. She then went to Washington when he returned to China. She died suddenly and quietly at night in her Washington apartment.

~ Kittie starred in the 1917 movie "The Immigant" with Charlie Chaplin and Edna Purviance.
