"Caroline Baker Dead.
Mrs. Caroline Baker, widow of Joseph Baker, who died in Warwick township many years ago, died on Monday morning at Lancaster, aged 80 years, after lingering with a complication of ailments for a long time. Mrs. Baker's maiden name was Sturgis. She was a sister to the late Edward S. Sturgis, and besides had a number of sisters, she being a twin. She was the last survivor of the Sturgis family. Her first marriage was to a Mr. Ricksecker, and John Tyler Ricksecker, of Kissel Hill, is the only survivor of this union. Later in life he was married to Joseph Baker, and of this union there are three surviving children, viz: Samuel J. Baker, of Marietta; Mrs. Susan Raum, of Lancaster, with whom she resided, and Enos, of this place. After her second widowhood Mrs. Baker had her home here for a long time with her son John T. Ricksecker, and later in Marietta with her son and daughter, until the latter removed to Lancaster. The funeral took place on Wednesday afternoon, when the remains were brought here for interment in the Moravian cemetery. Services were held in the Moravian church, of which church she was a member, and were conducted by Rev. E. S. Hagen."
