Ronald Lee Wilcox died on Nov. 8, 2009, at age 67.

He was born on Sept. 19, 1942, in Portland, to parents Sherman Wilcox and Evelyn Mays.

He was raised in Portland, joined the Navy in 1960 and was honorably discharged in 1966.

He had been employed as a lieutenant in the Happy Valley Fire Department, had worked at the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office and was seasonally employed by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife since 2003.

He is survived by: wife, JANET WILCOX; sons, Leon, Josh, Ben and Micah Wilcox and Brad Triplett; sisters, Linda Thomas, Gloria Deane, Sarah Dinwiddie and Ruth Klomberg; and four grandchildren.

A service was held on Nov. 16, 2009, at Victorious Faith Family Church in Oregon City, followed by a service at Willamette National Cemetery with full military honors.

Arrangements: Emily's Cremation and Burial.
