Ines Burgos

Age 73, of Humacao, Puerto Rico, passed away peacefully at his home in Newark, DE on November 24, 2009 surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Burgos worked as a chef at several area hotel-restaurants such as the Tally Ho, Howard Johnsons and Clemente Travel Center. Mr. Burgos was a craftsman who enjoyed making wooden musical instruments such as guitars, mandolins, maracas, and cuatros.

He is survived by a son, Daniel and wife Nora; daughter, Carmen Leticia; 3 brothers: Antonio, Jose & Eladio; 6 sisters: Margarita, Josefina, Maria Magdalena, Maria Dolores (Loly), Lucy & Neida; 3 grandchildren: Daniel Jr., Shania & Tainaliz; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Pedro, Francisco and Felix; and parents, Francisco J. Burgos and Arcadia Martinez.

The family wishes to offer a special thank you to Seasons Hospice for their special care provided to Ines and their family.

A visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 27, 2009 from 6 to 8 pm in the STRANO & FEELEY FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 635 Churchmans Rd., Newark, DE 19702 and again on Saturday Nov. 28 in St. Paul's Catholic Church, 4th & Jackson St., Wilm. from 9 to 10 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery.
