Mrs. Alice Mae Howard, 76 years old,of Jackson died at 7:20 a.m. today at her home.

Born Oct. 11, 1896, near Williamsville, the former Miss Alice Mae McKee maried Lee White in 1914. He died in 1942. In 1951, she married Jesse L. Howard, who died in 1965. Mrs. Howard, who had be in failing health the past year, moved to Jackson from Neely's Landing in 1966. She was the oldest charter member of Jackson Assembly of God Church.

Surviving; sons, Billy G. White, St. Louis, Howard White, Alexander, Ind., Clifford White, Collinsville, Ill., Virgil White, Elwood, Ind., and Carol White, Cape Girardeau; daughters, Mrs. Lottie May White, Jackson, Mrs. Gene Doyle, Ferguson, and Mrs. Joseph King, Jackson; stepsons, John L. Howard, Jackson Route 4, and Robert E. Howard, Festus; step-daughters, Mrs. Wayne Thomas and Mrs. Arthur Pillard, both of Festus; 33 grandchildren, and 40 great-grandchildren.

A brother, sister, son and two half-borthers preceded her in death.

The body is at McCombs Funeral Home where friends may call after 2 Wednesday afternoon at the funeral home with the Rev. Herbert Bruhn, pastor of Assembly of God Church, officiating. Burial will be Russell Heights Cemetery.
