Julius Feinstein, born December 28, 1924, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2005 at the age of 80.
He was a fighter in life, business and in the ring.
Mr. Feinstein served his country honorably, earning a bronze star for his courageous efforts at the allied invasion of France, D-Day, H-Hour, as well as being a liberator of a World War II concentration camp.
In his early years, Mr. Feinstein was an amateur fighter and fought in the Golden Gloves Tournament, as well as, boxing on a U.S. Army Team in England, prior to the invasion.
Mr. Feinstein was a proud and successful business owner in the industrial supply field, traveling nationally and internationally, pioneering the machine tool import business while maintaining offices in Japan, Venezuela and Mexico.
Mr. Feinstein had a deep love for his family, his religion, and his friends. He was a proud member of Congregation Beth Yeshurun. Mr. Feinstein had a passion for all mankind, his city, the water, fishing and entertaining. He was a gourmet cook.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Shirley Feinstein; sons Larry Feinstein, Michael Feinstein and Stephen Feinstein; daughters in law Judy Feinstein and Judy Feinstein; grandchildren, Courtney Manuel and husband Jake Manuel, Stacey Feinstein, Jeffrey Feinstein, Emily Feinstein, Taylor Feinstein, and Max Feinstein.
Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, September 12, 2005 at Congregation Beth Yeshurun, 4525 Beechnut, Houston, with interment following at Adath Emeth Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Congregation Beth Yeshurun or the American Red Cross.
