Funeral service for Edward Austin Chandler, 64, who died at his home in Denison, Tex., Saturday, of a heart attack after a day’s illness, was held at the Methodist church here Tuesday afternoon. Burial was in Highland cemetery.Mr. Chandler, who was born Dec. 7, 1875, in Knoxville,Tenn., was brought to Clarksville when he was a year old and came here at the age of 19 where he lived until a few months ago. He was a member of the Baptist church and was engaged in the building and ontracting business.Survivors include two sons, Dewey and Frank Chandler of Denison, Tex.;four daughters, Mrs. Fuller Halmes and Mrs. Raymond Edgin, Ozark; Mrs. Frank Moss, Ratcliff; and Mrs.Taud Dickerson, Ozark; three brothers, Joe Chandler,Jones, La.; Charles Chandler,Clarksville; and Jeff Chandler,Paris; three sisters, Mrs.Kate Thomas, Jones, La.,Mrs. Walter Toones, Glendora,Calif.; and Mrs. Iva Bearden, De Cap, Tex.; a widow to whom he was married just nine days prior to his death; and 13 grandchildren. Headstone has date 1878 for his birth year
