Mrs. Culver was born Dec. 4, 1920, in Churchville, Va., a daughter of the late Stuart and Carletta (Frye) Roudabush, and had been a southern Cayuga County resident since 1932. She was formerly employed with the First National Bank of Ithaca for 33 years, prior to her retirement in 1984.
Throughout her life, Whanetia had always enjoyed assisting her family in farming and had been a wonderful caregiver to all of her family members. She formerly attended the First Presbyterian Church in King Ferry and was an avid golfer for many years.
She is survived by a sister, AnnaBelle Bradley, of Auburn; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews, and by her loyal friend, Joan Miller.
She was predeceased by her husband, Craig Culver, in 1943; by a brother, Marion Roudabush, and by her five sisters, Virginia Davis, Elizabeth LaFave, Edith Morrow, Elaine Reveal, and Helen Dinkel.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at the United Church of Genoa, with the Rev. Greg Wesley officiating. Interment will be in Ridgeway Cemetery, Venice.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov 28, at her nephew’s home, the James and Linda LaFave residence, 4068 Goose St., Locke.
