Mrs. LaFave was born March 8, 1919, in Churchville, Va., a daughter of the late Stuart and Carletta (Fry) Roudabush. Mrs. LaFave had been a resident of southern Cayuga County for most of her life, and was a devoted homemaker. She was the widow of William LaFave, who died in 1987.
She was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church of King Ferry, and had been active in the Genoa PTA in earlier years.
She is survived by a son, James and his wife Linda; two grandchildren, Douglas (Ann) LaFave and Lisa (Mark) Tyson; three great-grandchildren, Logan and Kelsey LaFave and Andrew Tyson; four sisters, Whanetia Culver of Locke, Helen (Edwin) Dinkel of King Ferry, Anna Belle (Dana) Bradley and Elaine (Robert) Reveal, both of Auburn; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Marion in 1985; sisters, Virginia Davis in 1997 and Edith Morrow in 1978; and a nephew, George Davis in 1994.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20 in the United Church of Genoa, with the Rev. Larry B. Bell officiating. Interment will be in Ridgeway Cemetery, Venice. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the family home, 4068 Goose St. Road, Locke.
