Mr.Biter,65,of Loretto RD 1 died Saturday, March 20,1982,in Mercy Hospital.
Known as John, he was born Aug. 27, 1916,in Loretto,the son of Sherman and Annie (Parrish) Biter,and Nov.14,1940, married Eleanor Sherry.
Surviving are his wife, eight children: David, Mrs. Jean A. Bruce and Richard of Loretto RD, Mrs. Rita Mary Farabaugh and
Mrs.Theresa Solarczyk of Ebensburg RD,Mrs. Betty George of South Williamsport, Mrs. Donna Kollar of Lakemont
and Mrs. Bonnie Hershel of Cresson,
and 20 grandchildren.
Also surviving are five brothers and sisters: James and Mrs. Louise Ruffing of Loretto,Mrs. Eleanor Strittmatter
of Ebensburg RD, Sister Mariam Rita, Sisters, of Mercy,Ebensburg,and Norbert of Gallitzin.
Mr. Biter was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Loretto..

of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Michael's Catholic Church, Loretto,
by the Rev. Joseph Weidmann, Father Valko and Father Damian. Interment in church cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Donald J. Gibbons Funeral Home,Ashville,
where a liturgical wake service will be held at 8 p.m. today.
