2nd w/o Albert D JACOBS.

Birth: 2nd of two known children (with 100% German blood) in Peru, Miami county, Indiana (Minnesota Certicicate of Death, and headstone have "1873", 1900 Federal census has "August 1874", HOWEVER, she's noted in father's January 1873 obituary. Parents: Capt William F M WALLICK (1840OH-1873IN) a Civil War veteran and Anna Elizabeth HAGEE (ca1840/43PA-1877IN), married 25 June 1868 in Miami county, Indiana.

Pearle and sister Maude were orphaned with mother's 27 October 1877 demise. Its most difficult to believe that their HAGEE and WALLICK families allowed both children to be placed in seperate foster homes.

Pearle is found at age seven on two separate 1880 Federal census in Faulkner county Arkansas' household of John AKRIGHT (1824OH-1883) and his young wife born about 1848 in Ohio, married September 1871 in Indiana, Susan Ann BAILEY, first in Newton Township, noted 'adopted' (WALLICK used as surname for 1902 marriage), second in Muddy Bayou township dated seventeen days later, noted 'servant', both same place and a far cry from Peru, Indiana where born and where older sister Maude is found.

-----------------------
NOTE: In 1834 William Akright settled near Malcolm and was the second white man to establish a home within the present limits of the township. His son, John Akright, was one of the early school teachers of Miami county [Indiana] and afterward was for several years a general merchant in the village of Gilead.

Muddy Bayou township reached from Mt. Vernon to the and south of the Searcy-Springfield road to the Bayou and reportedly, town of Enola was Muddy Bayou until 1906.

Andrew Graham settled near this place in 1860. One of the early post offices before either. The post office was first located at Cascade, a mile south of the Methodist church. This office was at first called Muddy Bayou and was opened Jan. 15, 1879 with Alfred Shoulders as postmaster. The name was changed to Cascade under postmaster William B. Wilson.

------------------------

Pearle is next found with surname 'WALLOCK', in 1900 Federal census at Marquette, Marquette county, Michigan, rooming and working as a sales lady. Her obituary states lived here many years. How, when and why Pearle went to Marquette, Michigan is a big dark mystery to me. Pearle, was wed in Carthage, Jasper county, Missouri in 1902, listing (?) Carthage as her home, but had been on 1900 Federal census listed in Marquette, Marquette county, Michigan working as a sales lady. After 1902 marriage she removed to Duluth, Saint Louis county, Minnesota, having a son, from where she visited her sister and where she died in 1930.

Pearle had visited in Carthage, Jasper county, Missouri where several photographs were taken, but was not listed attending sister's August 1892, Carthage wedding, then after 1904, visiting in Colorado Springs, El Paso county, Colorado, where upon one occasion her son, William Albert JACOBS (1908MN-1977CA), tossed a baseball high into the sky and caught it to the amazement of my cousins, Harriette and William HOPKINS, grandchildren of Maude (Wallick) FLORA, told me by cousin Harriette in 2003 (whom I last saw in 1936) while sharing many memories and pictures with me during my maternal family's research.

Census: 1910, age 33 Duluth, Saint Louis county, Minnesota with hubby & one son, at 4 Munnger Terraces, hubby a bookkeeper.

Census: 1920, age 46 Duluth, Saint Louis county, Minnesota with hubby & son at 1624 Eighth street east, he a bookkeeper.

Pearle, along with other family members and friends, was at my mother's, her niece, bedside 2 April 1928 in Kansas City, Jackson county, Missouri when mother died.

Census: 1930, age 53 Duluth, Saint Louis county, Minnesota with hubby, at 1624 Eighth street east, he a bookkeeper.

Death: in Duluth, buried in Forrest Hills cemetery, Duluth, Saint Louis county, Minnesota.
