Most of Mr. Arent's life was spent in an around Minden. He was a retired farmer and was well known by the people of this community.
Mr. Arent was united in marriage to Christina Larsen March 16, 1904 and to this union four children were born.
Mrs. Arent preceded her husband in death in 1948.
Survivors are his children Henry of Lincoln, Glenn, Upland, Mrs. Alta Adam and Mrs. Lillian Ozmun, both of Hastings, a sister, Mrs. Mary Madson, Greeley, Colorado, a brother Bill, Nampa, Idaho, eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, May 19, at the Layton Funeral Home with Rev. Leslie Hudson of the First Christian Church officiating. interment was in the Minden Cemetery.
