Services for Charles W. Bond, eastern Oklahoma resident prior to statehood was conducted at the chapel on Mallory Funeral Friday afternoon with Rev. Russell T. Trammel pastor of Baptist Church officiating in the rites.
Burial was in the Stigler Cemetery with H.H. McBride, A. J. Thompson, Lee Smith, George Livesay, Ben Tyler, Truman Thompson, acting as pallbearers.
Bond, who was 76 years old at his death, was a native of Edwards Co., Ill, later moving to South East Missouri (Stoddard Co. m.b.) He was married to Miss Margaret Ann Stewart at Fort Smith in 1899. Bond then moved to Indian Territory near Stigler where he has resided since that time.
Bond's survivors are the widow, one son, Lt. Lee Bond of Ft. Lewis, Washington, five daughters, Mrs. Percy Sutton of Pauls Valley, Mrs. Opal Cordie and Mrs. Faye Spradling and Mrs. Raye Scantlen of Stigler and Miss Mona Bond of the home.
