Opal Georgia Dodson of Shawnee died Tuesday in St. Louis. She was 90.
She was born in Stigler, Okla., on April 10, 1908, to Charles Wesley Bond and Margaret Ann (Stewart) Bond.
She married J.B. Roberts on April 2, 1924, and he preceded her in death in 1956. On Dec. 29, 1959, she married Clifford Dodso, and he also preceded her in death on June 12, 1963. She lived in Shawnee for 23 years, moving from Panama, Okla., in 1976.
She was a cook at John Marshall Hgh School in Oklahoma City and was a member of the St Louis First Baptist Church, and Rebekah Assemby of Oklahoma, No. 271, where she had served as noble grand. She was also a member of American Legion Auxiliary No. 0016, and Mysteious Club Thirteen of Shawnee.
Preceding her in dath were her husbands, her parents, two sons, one daughter and four sisters.
Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, J. Don and Anna Sue Roberts of St. Louis; Bilie Lee and Jessie Roberts of Allardt, Tenn.; Bobbie Ray and Joyce Roberts of Fairfield, Ohio; one brother, Lee Bond of Sufolk, Va.; seven grandchildren, Bradley K. Robert, Michael D. Roberts, Margaret Ann Burleson, Jeffrey D. Roberts, Wesley Roberts, Ronald Roberts, and Vicke Dunloup; 13 great-grandchildrn; and three great-grandchilden.
Sevice are 11 a.m. Friday at St. Louis First Baptist Church with the Rev. Glenn Peck officiating. Bural is at Cummings Cemetry in Maud.
Arrangements are under the direction of Knight Funeral Home in Maud.
