Emma Ruth Perkins was the daughter of Drue Miller Love and Minnie Ann Taylor Love of Coldsprings, Texas.

Ruth Love Perkins, 88, of Huntsville died Tuesday in Houston.
Services will be conducted at 2p.m. Thursday at Huntsville Funeral Home Chapel. Internment will follow in the Adickes Addition of Oakwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Perkins, a resident of Huntsville for 47 years, was born April 4, 1904, in San Jacinto County, the daughter of Judge Drue Love and Minnie Taylor Love. She attended Sam Houston State Teachers College and taught school before her marriage.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Coy Perkins. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William Drew Perkins and Mary Knotts Perkins of Lufkin: Nancy Perkins Wilson and Ben F. Wilson of Huntsville; son and daughter-in-law John Cody Perkins and Pam Perkins of Austin; grandchildren Holly Perkins Myers of Austin, Robin Perkins McBride of Dallas, Marc Coy Perkins of Houston, W. Drew Perkins, Jr. of Washington D.C., Julie Perkins Oatman of Austin and Giles Gilpin Perkins of Birmingham, Alabama; three sisters, Annie Love Poe of Houston, Mary Love Newell of Huntsville, and Stella Love Sentell of Corinth, Miss, and five great grandchildren: Carter Meyers, Alexandra Oatman, English McBride, Sterling Meyers and Hannah Oatman.

Ruth is buried next to her husband, William Coy Perkins.
